Just a friendly cue for me to grab my water bottle out of the freezer and take it to work. Taking my water bottle was especially needed given my work location today: a building with no AC and where we can not drink water from the taps (don’t worry, they have water coolers, they’re just not convenient). With the water bottle out of sight, it could no longer cue me to take it. So, I added an additional cue to my environment by writing myself a quick note and placing it somewhere I was more than likely to see. A girl won’t leave without her purse; and as a result, my strategy worked. My water bottle was brought with me and provided much needed reinforcement.
